Objective of the activity: To showcase the extensive collection of books available in the university library, focusing on various facets of women's social, cultural, industrial, and political spheres, works authored by women, as well as magazines and journals dedicated to women's issues. By presenting this diverse array of literature, the goal is to encourage students, faculty, and visitors to explore the women's studies section of the library, fostering enrichment and cultivating interest in reading about women's issues from diverse perspectives. Through slogan writing, participants were encouraged to express their thoughts, perspectives, and aspirations through impactful slogans. Summary/Description IISU NDLI Club, Central Library, Dept of Library and Information Science organized Slogan Writing Competition on the topic “नारी शक्ति” (“Women Power”) Day on 13th March, 2024 at the back stage of the campus and Book Exhibition from 12th to 18th March, 2024 in order to celebrate International Women's Day. 34 students enthusiastically participated in the competition and more than 1000 students and faculty visited the exhibition. Students crafted slogans that celebrated the strength, resilience, and achievements of women across various fields, from academia to sports, and emphasized the need for gender equality. The judges of the event was Dr. Mona Vyas and Dr. Princy Thomas who selected the best three slogans. Vanshika Jain (B.Com Sem IV) bagged the first prize, Varsha Mathur (B.A. (H) Sem IV) and Khushi Verma (B.A. Sem IV)) got the second prize and third prize respectively. The library exhibited its collection of around 800 books encompassing a wide range of topics within women's studies, including gender equality, feminism, women's history, literature by women authors, and contemporary women's issues. Outcome of the activity: Students and faculty were enlightened to visit the exhibition and participated enthusiastically in the competition
