On 22nd January, 2022 an online Book Review Session was conducted by IIS university Central Library in collaboration with the NDLI to restore reading as the driving force of life during the Covid times. The book “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie narrated the saga of successful lives, motivated the students to focus on the art of conversation, and drew forth a trope that exists in interactions and other business activities.
More than 14 students enthusiastically participated on the Zoom platform to critically evaluate the work and engage in a consistent attempt to expose and disrupt the cloistered experience of the author.
Nevertheless, the students reported that the text resolves the questions as to ‘how to make the other person genuinely interested in your talk!’ and uncovers the utility of the ideological but quite so pragmatic subject.
The Convenor, Dr. Sonal Jain further radically directed the students through NDLI portal and towards the end of the session the Moderator, Dr. Shivangi Bhatt delivered a vote of thanks to all the participants for their integrated ideas and conscious efforts.
